The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
